When I see this headline:

White House strike at Hamas undermines Palestinians

...it leaves an entirely different impression than if I bother to actually read the article. Did the White House strike at Hamas, thereby undermining the Palestinians? Of course not. The Isrealis tried to assassinate a Hamas leader, and

''The president is concerned that the strike will undermine efforts by Palestinian authorities and others to bring an end to terrorist attacks and does not contribute to the security of Israel,'' White House spokesman Ari Fleischer told reporters.

...but you wouldn't know it without a little digging, would you? I'm not sure if this is a reflection of bias, or just sloppy journalism, but I expect more from the editors of a major news source.
