Saturday Night Lame

My wife is a U2 fan, and wanted to see their performance on SNL last night, so we suffered through most of the show to see the usual two musical numbers. Wow. Somewhere along the line, this once-entertaining weekend diversion has easily climbed the ranks of the worst garbage on television. Almost nothing in the 90-minute program was even mildly amusing, let alone funny. Ignoring the extreme left-wing political bias of the opening skit and "Weekend Update" leaves you with a series of drawn out bits of poorly done second-grader humor. Someone needs to let Lorne Michaels that it's long past time to put this crap to bed.
