This kind of thing is even more disconcerting when you have a friend over there.

I don't know exactly where on Edsa the bomb went off, but if memory serves, that street is about half a mile or so from where our intrepid pal is staying.

UPDATE: From this, it looks to be at least 3/4 mile before the start of that street, so this incident was probably a good ways off, but still -- can't be too careful as an American overseas these days.

Wolf Update: I IMed earlier today with Slurby, she didn't know about the blasts until she received a travel alert from work (which is real helpful when you are already in the place they are warning you about). She did see one gentleman in a wheelchair with his head all bandaged, but not sure if that was associated with the bombing or not.
