NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Reuters) - A 14-year-old boy shot dead the driver of a school bus on Wednesday in front of 24 terrified fellow students, police said. Killed was Joyce Gregory, 47-year-old mother of two children, ages 11 and 13, who were not on the bus when the killing occurred.[snip]

The students already on the bus ranged in age from five to 17, and one boy grabbed the wheel when the vehicle lurched forward after the driver was shot, steering it to a halt against a pole.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but I have this bad feeling that we're about to see a series of this kind of thing. Not just disgruntled teens (this one, by the way, was angry about having been kicked off of the bus for breaking the rules). What's to stop street gangs, who already recruit high school youths, from shifting all execution responsibilities to those under 18?
