I just heard Al Sharpton interviewed on NPR. Ok, I managed to hang in for a cringe-inducing two minutes or so. During that time, though, Al informed us that the Bush tax cut is a tax cut for the rich and a tax increase for the poor because sales taxes go up (They do? It's Bush's fault?), property taxes go up (Again, Bush's fault?) and the cost of public transportation goes up (Yes, it does in New York, but that's your Democratic mayor pulling the strings). In other words, complete incoherency. The NPR host, of course, didn't challenge him on any of these points. To me, Sharpton represents all the best and worst of American politics.
