So the President's 3-hour visit to Chicago is over, and thankfully the guy I mentioned in this post remained nowhere to be found. I was somewhat apprehensive, since the softball field that Marine One landed on is rather close to where our photographer friend was questioned by hotel security a couple of weeks ago. Should never have doubted the trusty Secret Service, though, who really do run a tight ship. Yet another group of brave men and women who put themselves in danger's way in service to our country.

By the way, you may be wondering why the Commander in Chief had to land in a softball field in one of the finest cities in America? Because of Govern-- uh, Mayor Daley's midnight mafia-style hit on the fine downtown lakefront airport, of course. Daley himself met with the President out at O'Hare, perhaps in an effort to show that he's not against all airports.
