I suppose it was really just a matter of time: Jerry Springer looking at Senate run Springer already has started airing 30-minute infomercials designed to raise awareness and money for a possible run against Ohio's incumbent Republican George Voinovich. First off, I don't understand why he's airing commercials in major markets that do not include his possible constituency. Is anyone really stupid enough to send money to his campaign? From another state, even? Secondly -- you know there are just so many things wrong with this picture that I don't even know where to go next. Sure it might be fun to see Jerry on the campaign trail in a double-wide. And we all hope the debate will be as exciting as his show, I guess. But isn't there a real problem when membership in the United States Senate is offered to -- well, Jerry Springer? I shudder to think about who's next. posted by Max Power | 1:33 PMon this |
