Careful What You Wish For...

I've noticed lately that a lot of people are closing their e-mails with, "Let me know your thoughts." It just so happens that many of these people use this sentence after posing particularly inane questions or statements, or asking for information they should already have. This leads me to wonder whether they really want to know my thoughts, or would prefer to continue receiving the (filtered and polite) responses they've been getting.
