Huff and Puff

I can scarcely wait for the new group blog promised by Arianna Huffington. One is often entertained by the petulant rantings of the liberal, self-proclaimed cognoscenti, but anything which provides the ability for these cranks to shoot their mouths off sans editing should prove to be endlessly entertaining. According to Huffy:

The Huffington Post “won’t be left wing or right wing. Indeed, it will punch holes in that very stale way of looking at the world.”

Yes. How refreshing. The notion that people actually maintain an ideological position strikes Queen Arianna as "stale." Well, whatever, I'm not buying it anyway. Take a look at the guest list.

A number of people have already agreed to become a part of our group blog, including Larry David, Tom Freston, Vernon Jordan, David Geffen, Nora Ephron, Bobby Kennedy Jr., Tina Brown, John Cusack, Gary Hart, Mike Nichols, Rob Reiner, David Mamet, Arthur Schlesinger, Norman Lear, George Wolfe, Bill Maher, Jann Wenner, Laurie David, Cory Booker, Jim Wiatt, Haim Saban, Walter Cronkite, Albert Brooks, Paul Goldberger, Harry Evans, Liev Schreiber, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David O. Russell, Barry Diller, Tavis Smiley, Ari Emanuel, Paul Reiser, Adam McKay, Brian Grazer, Mort Zuckerman, Brad Hall, Prof. Alex Keyssar, Dr. Dean Ornish, and Sen. Jon Corzine.

It sounds like Arianna stole a guest list from a DNC fundraiser. Which one of these "non-wingers" will step up to take or defend a conservative position on anything? I shan't hold my breath. I mean, golly, I can't wait to hear what Paul Reiser has to say about the Syrian pullout from Lebanon. Maybe he can write a new book called Democracyhood.
