WSOP

Lots of happenings at the WSOP, with the main event still a couple of weeks away. So far the big story is that of Charlie Tuttle, a young man terminally ill with cancer. Through some requests from bloggers present, Charlie got to speak first with Marcel Luske and then Barry Greenstein via phone. Greenstein then went on to take down the $1500 Pot Limit Omaha event, dedicating his win to Charlie. Truly amazing was that Greenstein declared his victory dedication at the final table when he was in a middling chip position. Needless to say, many were emotionally overcome upon Greenstein's victory. At the risk of sounding insensitive, I hope this was a televised event. It should make for some riveting coverage. You can follow the story via the hardest working man in Vegas, Pauly at Tao Of Poker.

Sadly, I just read that Charlie passed away this morning.
