It's All About Priorities
In the wake of the latest airline terror threat, new restrictions on items allowed aboard flights to/from the US were put in place. But, as this article on MSNBC points out, necessities are necessities: "The TSA had joined UK officials in instituting a complete ban on hand-carried liquids and gels in the wake of the alert on August 10 in a bid to reduce the threat of so-called composite. Passengers had to pack such items in their checked luggage, and dispose of any items purchased in the airport before boarding their flights." Then again, perhaps necessity is in the eye of the beholder... "The UK, whose intelligence officials uncovered the alleged August plot, continues to ban all liquids and gels in carry-on baggage, except for essential medicines and baby food. Gel-filled bras are not permitted."posted by Max Power | 12:55 PM on this |
